I'm still hard at work stitching but have added packing up my house as I will soon be moving to Jacksonville FL  to spend the rest of my life with the most wonderful gentleman....I will post a picture of my big project once he sees it as I am stitching it for him.  So June 9th I shall put the dogs into the car head for Chicago's Midway Airport pick John up and head for Florida.  New and exciting times for both of us as we start a new life adventure together.

Still stitching and reading

The new year is here and I'm still stitching on my big project.  I'm almost done with page 3 just one more row and on to page 4.  I'm starting to get anxious about getting it finished but it's finally winter here in W. Michigan so I have no reason to go outdoors, yes, I'm a winter hater.
I also have found Chelsea Cain's Gretchen Lowell series so I'm trying to fit that into my time frame also, great thing about a Nook Color you can go to bed and read in the dark since it's backlit.  I love my Nook Color, they just did an update where I can watch movies from Netflix but I rarely watch movies would much rather read.
Today is also football day.  My picks?  New England over Denver....Houston over Baltimore....
Green Bay over the Giants and the New Orleans over San Fran.  Guess I'll know how well I did tonight.

The big project

Just to let everyone know that I am almost done with page 3 of my big project.  There are 9 pages so I think I'm making pretty good progress.   I will post some pictures out in the I love cross stitch album that will be created.
I tried to stitch last night while dog-sitting my sister's 5 scotties, which excuse me sister but they DO all look alike  haha.... but I had forgotten the color code sheet, so I read my book instead and was in bed by 8:30pm.  Wild Friday night.

I must be nuts

I must be nuts....haha.  First I'm doing a pattern which has 9 pages to it.  Then a special friend says he likes dragons and so I purchased this dragon pattern to stitch and it's 12 pages long!!!!  I'm going to become a permanent fixture in my chair.  I'm sure once I'm done with both patterns they will be worth it but I certainly have my work stitched out for me.

While in Jacksonville Florida this summer I found a wonderful stitching shop, A Stitch in Time, and found this rooster pattern.  I have roosters in my kitchen thought this guy was cute.  I picked him up tonight from Joann's after framing.  Now onto the chicken wall.

My big project

This doesn't look like much but finally I have finished page 1 of my 9 page project.  The bottom right 10x10 took 3 attempts, I'd pull it out start again and still be off pattern.  I'm just glad that little square is done.  As you can see I've started page 2.

Christmas is done

I have finished my Christmas project and have it at Joann's for framing.  I'm now working on the biggest project I have ever undertaken.  The pattern is 9 pages and color changes like I have never worked with before.  It will be a challenge but then winter is coming so I might as well stitch.
Happy Stitching,

busy on Christmas

I'm trying my hardest to get my Christmas stitching project done.  Joann Fabrics has another 65% off coupon off on framing.  The problem??? I need fuzzy floss to finish it and don't know if I can find it locally. I'll keep looking.

First finished project 2011

I have taken a picture of my first project from 2011.  I've been rather lax because of all the books I have been reading but now I can start on that next project.  The right corner isn't stained it was wet when I took the picture.....now it's on to Joann Frabrics who has a coupon for 65% off framing this week.

Never did I think

I never thought I would have a blog, but here I am with a blog.  I've started this to keep me on track with my stitching.  I have a project waiting for just a few finishing stitches and another waiting in the wings to start.  I find that trying to stitch in the summer is rather difficult with all the yard work that needs to be done, but it's about time I did some stitching.  Will try and add pictures as I finish each project.  I've also decided that I need to starting needle punch I love the patterns.
